A summary of the history of Louis Vuitton 

Louis Vuitton was born into a working-class family. When Louis was 10 years old, his mother died and his father soon remarried. The story goes that his new stepmother was not a very nice person and that she is one of the reasons why Louis decided to leave his hometown. In the spring of 1935, when he was only 13 years old, Louis began his two-year journey to Paris. He traveled 470 kilometers (293 miles) on foot, taking jobs along the way to earn a living. When he finally arrived in Paris, he was 16 years old and soon had the opportunity to become an apprentice at the successful boxing and packaging workshop of Monsieur Maréchal, where he ended up working for 17 years. With his own studio he started making his own creations and designs. He started using canvas instead of leather, making the trunks waterproof and very durable. The design of the Louis Vuitton Ellipse 

Ellipse means oval, which explains the design of the bag in one word. The Louis Vuitton Ellipse is crafted in a sleek structured design. The bag has a flat base, slanted sides and a rounded top. This makes Louis Vuitton Ellipse a real shapeshifter. The Ellipse is made in some of Louis Vuitton's iconic prints: Monogram Canvas, Damier Ebene Canvas and Epi Leather.

The uniqueness

If you want to buy this model, it might be a little expensive. Louis Vuitton stopped producing the Ellipse in 2007. The production of the Louis Vuitton Mini Ellipse started much later and this model was available for a very short time. Which means that the bag is no longer available new and is therefore more unique. The Louis Vuitton Mini Ellipse is the most unique of all, as it was only available for a very short time.

The Louis Vuitton Ellipse Bag is offered in four sizes: The Louis Vuitton Mini Ellipse, Louis Vuitton Ellipse PM (petit), Louis Vuitton Ellipse MM (moyen) and the Louis Vuitton Ellipse Shopping (the biggest model). Our favorite? That is definitely the Ellipse PM, this is the smallest size in the Louis Vuitton Ellipse line. The PM can only be carried by the top handle, while the MM and GM both come with a detachable shoulder strap.
