It has been more than 20 years since Japanese artist Takashi Murakami started a collaboration with Louis Vuitton, so it was time for a new collaboration between the two. The latest Spring 2025 collection is therefore definitely something to look forward to!
The 2003 collection was designed by Marc Jacobs. He was creative director of Louis Vuitton at the time and introduced Murakami's iconic colorful monogram motifs on the classic Louis Vuitton bags. So the most striking thing about this collaboration was the well-known rainbow-hued Monogram pattern. Therefore the collection became a big success. But not only the rainbow monogram canvas was what the Japanese designer released in 2003, but also the original characters, including the cherry-blossom face, decorated some of Vuitton's most iconic prints.

Special collection
This collection was also extra special for Vuitton, as this was the first time they adapted the original monogram canvas to a new variation of the print. People know that these bags and other accessories with this print are often sold out or hard to come by. So for these people, we have good news. This great iconic print will of course return in the latest Spring 2025 collection, but of course in a new look.

Accessories
Something that is very noticeable in this collection compared to that of 20 years ago is the amount of accessories on the bags. Bag charms hang almost everywhere. Of course, this is a huge trend now! From bag charms with gold and silver details to scarves and even a mini version of the alma can be hung on your own bag as an accessory.

Zendaya
For a while now, we knew that this collection is coming. So Zendaya shines in the foreground of this Louis Vuitton X Takashi Murakami campgane. Zendaya has been a Louis Vuitton ambassador for a while now but that she is modeling for this campaign is the icing on the cake for us. But there is even more good news as the collection consists of more than 150 items! From shoes to bags such as the Alma and the Speedy, but also accessories such as jewelry, sunglasses and scrunchies for in your hair. Something for everyone.
