Re-edition Prada moon bag

The New Re-Edtion 2000 Tessuto Moon Bag

Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons has released yet another bag that is set up to be the next IT bag of this year, called the: Moon bag.

 The Difference

They gave one of their most iconic bags ever: Tessuto Moon bag, that released in the early 2000’s, a new life. The Moon bag is clearly what Y2K dreams are made of. The secret of its appeal is the details that hark back to the history and craftsmanship of the Milanese brand. The new Prada Moon bag is described by Prada as a re-imagination of a bag from their archive dating back to the begging of the 21st century but in a more modern manner. The Re-Edition 2002 is characterised by its compact silhouette and curved lines, but it’s the details that really bring together two worlds: Prada’s past and present. The difference between the two is that the first edition had a lot of Nylon 70%, which is now made of 70% of a puffy leather material. Also the original handles are a little bit shorter.

 Eye Catching

The eye-catching element is the large metal buckle on the front (reminiscent of the historic models from the Spring-Summer 2002 collection) embellished with the triangular Prada logo in enamelled metal. The silver-finish metal passavela also returns, another detail cherished by the brand, as a component with a decorative and functional character

Different Styles

The Prada Moon bag is available in different monochrome styles. Neutral versions in wavy, cedar, emerald geranium, mango and black or white. Structured handles, a detachable shoulder strap and elegant tonal key rings have long been hallmarks of the label's bags. An accessory destined to take part in Prada's history and will always be a protagonist.
