Louis Vuitton X Nike "Air Force 1"

Louis Vuitton and "Air Force 1" by Virgil Abloh

The past few days we have already been able to enjoy on Instagram sneak peeks off the new collaboration that Louis Vuitton has entered into with Nike. And after seeing these sneak peeks we have completely fallen in love with this collection! Of course, we're talking about the Louis Vuitton x Nike "Air Force 1". This collection consist out of 47 editions which were designed at the time by Virgil Abloh. It is the last project after Virgil Abloh's death.

And from tomorrow, 21 May 2022, the pairs will be shown in New York as an exhibition in the Green Point Terminal Warehouse till 31st of May 2022. The 47 editions which are designed by Virgil, will be displayed both physically and digitally in this warehouse.

Post-Modern Scholarship Fund

Besides the exhibition Louis Vuitton has chosen to collaborate with the auction house Sotheby's, who auctioned 200 pairs of these Nike shoes. The average price of the shoes were in the $100.000 range and the proceeds from the shoes have gone to the Post-Modern Scholarship fund of Virgil Abloh. This supports the education of Black promise, African-American and African descent students.

How to get these shoes

The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 is entirely made of premium leather and Louis Vuitton logo's. The shoes are available in limited quantities and are exclusive for the store network from Louis Vuitton. So scoring these pairs of shoes is almost impossible, but we still hope to get our hands on one of this shoes someday :)
