GUCCI X THE NORTH FACE

Yes, boys and girls, the time has finally come! The announcement of the Gucci x The North Face collection! Gucci is one of our favorite luxury brands. When we heard about this collaboration, we were very curious about which products they would launch. Two different brands with a different target group, we didn't really know what to expect. But let me tell you, it's overwhelming. No, we are certainly not exaggerating. This will probably be one of the best collaborations of 2021, already. After reading this blog, copy this modern hiking vibe and feel the Gucci x The North Face vibe!

WHERE IT ALL STARTED

At the beginning of 2020, Gucci introduced the collaboration with The North Face. They did this by means of short films, which were shown on their social media platforms. In total 3 clips you saw rolling mountain landscapes that were accompanied by a flag with the logos of both brands. 

 

TWO DIFFERENT BRANDS, ONE AMAZING LAUNCH

It is always nice to see when two very different brands come together. The collaboration between Gucci and The North Face is about celebrating the spirit of discovery. The North Face draws deeper similarities between the two brands in harnessing adventurers, challenging status, and seeking self-expression (The North Face). The mission of this collaboration is: “To help adventurers make physical discoveries, but at the same time to discover themselves”.

Both brands value the spirit of exploration. The North Face has reached an empire by driving innovation and breaking the rules in creating styles with unique and distinctive design details. Gucci products represent the pinnacle of Italian craftsmanship and are unsurpassed for their quality and attention to detail. Gucci: “Under creative director Alessandro Michele's new vision, the house has redefined luxury for the 21st century and further cemented its position as one of the world's most sought-after fashion houses”.
In other words, the combination between these two brands did not come out of the blue.
The collection is for both men and women. They have many different products such as sweaters, skirts, shoes and many accessories. Each item has the same logo. The logo is a combination of the typical red-green Gucci stripes and the original The North Face half-dome. You can immediately see that the two brands have worked very well together. The outdoor clothing is inspired by The North Face collection from the 70s. Those products in combination with the Gucci prints, that makes it complete. We are totally in love!

OUR FAVORITES

Hoodie 

Who wouldn't want an oversized and warm hoodie? Yes please, everyone needs a cozy sweater in their closet, right?! We are completely in love with this black and yellow sweater. It's very casual and quite simple, but that's the key to the perfection. This product contains organic cotton. In manufacturing this sweater, they have used chemicals, removed pesticides and applied methods that respect biodiversity, improve soil quality and reduce water consumption. It is not only a nice sweater but also good for nature, a win-win situation!

Green Jumpsuit 

Is it a sleeping bag or a jumpsuit? We don't know either, but officially it's a green nylon jumpsuit. If you're going camping in a cold country, this is definitely the best thing to wear. The jumpsuit is very unique and warm. The jacket is very pricey due to the collaboration, of course. This item costs € 1,980, so if you're going camping and want this jumpsuit, go camping in luxury! If you pull the strings at the waist, the jumpsuit will be more tailored. You can also close it up to the head with a zipper and buttons, keeps you very warm and cozy. 

Tent 

The drop of the two brands has a mission to create and help adventurers make physical discoveries, as well as discover themselves while doing so. This mission resulted in luxurious outdoor products. This probably explains why there are also different trends in the collection. How great would it be to lie in this Gucci x North Face tent? Everyone wants to go camping in this luxury tent. Sleeping fashionably, that's for sure. Will it be comfortable too? Does it matter at all?

The puffer 

A puffer? What?! We love a great and warm puffer. There was one we absolutely adored, unfortunately not in stock (seen on the right). Some say they will complement the puffer. But is it the truth? We don't know yet, but we'll keep you posted. If you asked our opinion, this Gucci x The North Face jacket is everything you want. Warm and above all very stylish!

 

Bucket hat 

These bucket hats would be great for warm weather and festivals. You can easily combine the hats with a casual or sporty outfit. The hats are available in black with white and brown with pink. Put on your bucket hat and you're good to go! The brown bucket has been regenerated and recycled. This nylon fabric has the Gucci Interlocking G link print on it.
