Louis Vuitton's exhibition reaches its final destination in New York
Louis Vuitton lovers, get ready because Louis Vuitton opened their last exhibition. The traveling exhibition arrives at its final stop in New York and shows the imaginative trunks created by 200 visionaries.
In honor of Louis Vuitton's 200th birthday, a group of two hundred creatives gathered to pay homage to and reinterpret the classic Louis Vuitton Trunk. Despite what you may think, there are many ways to give a creative twist to this timeless design.
The start of this exhibition could only be in Asnières, in France, the home town of the brand's creator. And just as the trunk's purpose, to travel, the exhibition has been moving around the world to show its intricate designs to every Louis Vuitton fan.

The designs
The LOUIS 200 project invites talented individuals and friends from arts and culture to participate in this homage to the luxury brand. Their start line was a metaphorical blank canvas around the same size as the original trunk from the 1850s, and from there, the sky was the limit.
Every designer took their personal style and gave a new look to the trunk. And from that simple idea, we got two hundred different trunks, some abstract and intricate, some colorful, and others more somber. And in every one of them, you could see the designer's style and the essence of Louis Vuitton.
One of our personal favorite is by artist Amende Haeghen, who drew on the trunk's role as a vessel for keeping sentimental items safe. It was a rather romantic spin that she took on the original trunk.

The exhibition
Barneys Building in New York City is the last stop of the "200 TRUNKS, 200 VISIONARIES: EXHIBITION". The exposition has been meticulously designed, with rooms dedicated to showing the work of the designers.
At the end of the circuit, visitors can discover The Workshop, a multifaceted space that hosts cultural, educational, and artistic events. In addition, Louis Vuitton opened FREDS x LOUIS in conjunction with the exhibition, reviving Barneys' iconic Freds restaurant for a limited time.
The exhibition is coming to an end, and will only be available until the 31st of December 2022. If you're a Louis Vuitton fan, this is something you won't want to miss.
